The Peninsula is no longer just worth a visit for their cream teas - although I often still hop over on the Star for a scone (or three).
The spa there is ridiculously lovely and a luxury experience of old and new school.
The best bit:
When going to a spa as special as this, I really don't like doing a 'hit and run' - and zooming in and out as
if having a blowdry. Make the time to go an hour beforehand and shower in the aromatherapy scented showers with
excessive amounts of jets and even steam. Mega confusing to operate, but that is somehow part of the fun. Then step into a seriously soft dressing gown and slippers and enter the crystal steam room. It is a sight to take in even through the steam what with the beautiful mosaic tiles and the huge clear crystal which will hopefully empty your HK filled mind. You already feel that you've had a treatment by the time you have hopped into the uber clean steam room and reshowered. I tend to use endless towels in the best spa's - and although it's NOT carbon neutral ( I'm telling myself that I make up for this being vegetarian) feels fantastic. This is where the fun starts and you head for your treatment... So, def good value as
you can really use the facilities and be in peak performance (ie flop out mode) for your actual treatment."
The worst bit:
OK, lets be honest - its not cheap. But you definately dont get skimped for your money. This is a 'proper' spa
- they are really going for it.

The view is so amazing, I felt like I had slept a hundred years when I left. Good for taking visitors from out of town to really impress them, god my friends from back home (Australia) would freak out if they saw this!

There are sooo mnay staff here looking after you it is ridiculous. The lady in the bathrooms was so nice too, I felt bad for not speaking more Cantonese as she was so friendly. Really eanjoyed my treatment and would recommend.
