92 points Oriental Spa at The Landmark Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong

The Oriental Spa at The Landmark Mandarin Oriental doesn't just offer an assortment of mere treatments, this place is all about the total 'experience'. And, it's all happening right beside Harvey Nichols in Central - yet promises to take you on a journey far away from your normal day. Bring it on is what I say!

The best bit: Right, so as a spa critic I am known for asking literally everyone I know if they have had any amazing or dreadful experiences since the last time I saw them . Recently I have been hearing back the same thing .... 'OMG The Landmark is amazing - the best in HK etc'. So, I was intrigued and quite frankly a little suspicious. Was this spa putting a trance on all of my (I would like to think) distinguished friends or what? Even an (unnamed) man I know who is most sceptical of the whole spa thing has been admitting that he has been discretely sloping down there for his monthly facials as he likes 'the smell'? Philistine. Hmm.

However, I hate to admit it, but they were right. The lighting is ridiculously flattering - they absolutely got the atmosphere bang on for relaxation. It smells like heaven and their treatments, particularly the facials are really giving results - shock! The 80 min Regenerate Facial (HKD 1,380) using Aromatherapy Associates (v expensive and from England - like me - ha!) is the bomb. They select the correct oil for you - I suggest rose - then literally massage your complexion into oblivion. This is no lazy massage but a relaxing athletic workout on behalf of the therapist. Newsflash - the oil is actually being 'used' on your face to create an impact - rather than just being 'rubbed in' to fill time.

Anyway, I won't promise 10 Years Younger, but I suspect you will really notice a difference (please comment below when you have been). The next day I was asked if I'd had a whack of the old botox, as apparently I looked 'lifted', and was also rather suspiciously asked if I was doing 'well' in the bedroom as I looked 'flushed'- how rude! Result!

The worst bit: Some people just cannot be pleased, however such people would frankly struggle here.

I did the godess treatment last week and it was just brilliant. At HKD880 for the massage and to use all of the facialities I also thought it was pretty good value.

Good review above. Yes it really is superb. Best spa I have been to in a long time and I visit them all over. Bali is usually the best place but now this is open in HK I am sold!

What I like about that place is the fact that it is clean, smells good, has a good mood lighting and above all very quiet. It really enables you to totally relax quit quickly. The water room is full of nice little surprises incl. pool with immersed water/bubble beds and tropical sauna, haman and very nice refreshing mint showers....Just before the therapist gets you for your treament you can enjoy a nice comfy moment in the relaxation room.

They treatments are very pleasant/ gentle and professionaly managed if I can say...I love it.....can't you tell by now?????????

What I don't like about it....is the fact that it is a little too small sometimes especially if you get there during lunch time or sooo...luckily enough with my roster when I get there....there is ABSOLUTELY NO ONE.......yessssss

I recommend the clients to show up about an hour before the treatment so that they can full enjoy the water room...It is a must and it adds a lot to the SPA experience

God, I love this place. I wish it was less expensive, but it is amazing.
